We are happy to provide free web hosting accounts for licensed radio amateurs, the free accounts come with the following:

• SSL Certificate
• Free sub-domain
• SCP access to upload files
• Separate HTTP and HTTP directories
• Basic web hosting account ready for your files, or
  • WordPress installed and setup ready to use
• MariaDB database available on request
• 1GB of storage space for files (expandable on request)
• Free DNS hosting for your domain (if you need it)
• Free primary and/or secondary nameservers

If you don’t have your own domain for the website you are welcome to a free sub-domain on one of our domains, or we can register domain names for you, but there would be a small charge for this to cover our costs.

Of course there are some rules for the free web hosting, but nothing too onerous:

• Your website content must be related in some way to amateur radio or electronics as a hobby
• Selling / commerce is allowed but only if it directly furthers the causes of a registered charity or community interest organisation relating to amateur radio or electronics as a hobby
• We don’t restrict bandwidth usage, but we do measure it and, if you are using a disproportionate amount we may have a chat with you about moving your site to a commercial hosting package
• If you plan on doing anything out of the ordinary with your hosting account please run it by us first, just to make sure it’s ok

We reserve the right to remove your free hosting service if we feel you are taking advantage and/or not using it in the spirit in which it was provided to you. Generally we would aim to discuss our concerns with you beforehand, rather than just switching your service off. However we do reserve the right to switch your service off without notice if the circumstances call for such actions.
